Church History

“I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” (Psalms 34:1)

A group of members of the Church of South India formed a prayer group based in the premises of the Oasis Hospital, Alain in the 1980s. That marked the early beginnings of a congregation developing in UAE’s garden city. Later, the vicar in charge of the Dubai parish started leading a Holy Communion service. When the Abu Dhabi Parish constituted a Presbyter of their own, they helped the Al Ain Parish by sending him twice monthly the second and fourth Saturdays. During this period eminent Evangelists and Bishops visited the Parish and blessed the Parish with their sermon and eligible teenagers were added to the full memberships of the Church by the Confirmation Services.

The sacrifices and dedication of its members have enabled the parish to grow to its current status. We thank God for bringing in members, who have a heart to contribute with their fervent prayers and selfless efforts for the growth of the parish. The appointment of a dedicated vicar for the Jebel Ali and Al Ain parishes about a year ago has helped greatly to strengthen these efforts.

From 17th May 2016 Every Friday at 5-7 PM holy communion service is conducting in Boxit 1 in oasis compound Presently we parish have 23 families and 13 bachelors.

Singing helps us to remember the mighty deeds of God and gives us a foretaste of heaven. A milestone in the history of the CSI Malayalam Parish, Al Ain, was the dedication of 24 members to the parish choir on 31st March 2017. The parish has been blessed to have a dedicated choir that plays a vital role in worship services. The Sunday school was also restarted from the month of October 2017 and presently we have 16 Children .Every Thursday from 7:30 to 9 pm regular sunday School classes is conducting at the Oasis Compound.
